I’m Sarah. Sarah Hood. I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas with my husband Jeff and our little boy, Colt -- which I suppose qualifies me as ... Mother Hood.

I've been blogging in some form or fashion since early 2005 and have never looked back. The topic of conversation around here has changed a bit since those early posts, and if you wander too far into my Archives you're likely to find a single college girl with too much time on her hands, blogging between classes and waitressing shifts. But these days, Musings of Mother Hood has become a place for me to get all the live-and-learn parenting experiences and adorable toddler photos out of my system. Through it all, there are traces of sarcastic humor, (over)dramatic ranting, and an unhealthy obsession with righting the world’s grammatical errors – though I most commonly describe the content here as fun and harmless nonsense.

My day job - as they say - is in Marketing. I started at an agency here in Northwest Arkansas after graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2005. It’s fun work and learning to juggle a full-time family with a full-time career has become something I work at every day.

In addition to this blog, I write a regular column for NWA Motherlode all about techie, geeky stuff that Moms can really use. Check it out for a few cool, new websites, fun gadgets or techie, geeky advice from another Mama just trying to make it in this here 21st century. I also contribute to Shutterfly's blog, Picture More, because I've never met a photo book I didn't like, and to NWA's Peekaboo Magazine.

I love Seinfeld reruns, Chick-fil-A, going to the movies by myself, a freshly made bed, and peanut butter. And I am slowly but surely chipping away at my Life List. Oh Sarah, I do now remember your blog but honestly it's been awhile since I've looked at it. I must say it makes me laugh over and over (which...ask Jeff...is not hard), but it is such a great blog. I love your sarcasm. Hilarious! Might I add your family is just beautiful. You 3 look like a little magazine ad. Too cute!
