Blogging about blogging. (And a giveaway!)

This blog began on March 9, 2005 with a handful of posts about adopting a puppy and a lot of complaining about being a college student. For all you mathematicians out there, that's six big ones. This week is my blogiversary.

I sometimes consider going back through my Archives and taking down some of the immature, insensitive ramblings that live there. Before anyone really read or followed this blog, I was less careful and much less respectful about what I posted here. And once in a while one of those old posts will pop up and I read it, cringing, but all the while thankful for all the growing up I've done — some of it via those very posts. And I leave them there. Maybe when I run for President someday I'll have an advisor tell me to take it all down — but until then, I plan to keep this little time capsule intact.

So! Blogiversary! Last year, I celebrated by giving the blog a makeover. This year, I've decided to host my first ever giveaway.

Short of buying each of you a Sonic Diet Coke so we might properly toast this occasion, I struggled to find something appropriate – but I wanted to do something universally fun. So I will be giving away $25 in Fandango Bucks to one lucky reader. $25 good for any movie, any time, at any Fandango partner theater (check the website – there are a BUNCH).
