Having convinced ourselves that getting two adults AND a baby all washed and ready for church every week was just WAY too hard, we had taken a break from church for awhile. Then we attended the very first service of The Harbor on February 7, 2010 mostly in support of our good friends Nancy and Matt, who serve on the operating board of the church. And we have been back almost every Sunday since.
At The Harbor, we've found a group of families to which we can relate. Sometimes I feel like counting just to confirm my suspicions that the kids outnumber the adults in that place! Jeff, Colt and I have spent the last year among a group of people who are some of the most genuine, welcoming and truly kind I have ever met.
The Harbor celebrated its first anniversary a few weeks ago, but the Anniversary Celebration Service was canceled during the crazy snowy weather here in Northwest Arkansas. So we celebrated yesterday. It was such a special service — good music, good friends, good memories.
Here's a video that was shown during the service — photos and moments from the first year of The Harbor.
Happy Anniversary Harbor! We are so glad we could be there to help you celebrate.
